8th Grade Graduation 2021

We are looking forward to recognizing our graduates during the 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony planned for Saturday, June 5 at 10 am at the River School Farm. This will be a special moment for Dr. Barber and her students who have been together for so many years!

This event is open to all current families.

End of the Year Virtual Assembly

All families are invited to attend the End of Year Virtual Assembly next Friday at 12:00pm. This event will showcase work from grade school students.  Also Dr. Barber will share some thoughts about our first graduating class.  The assembly will last for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. A Zoom link will be sent to families the day before the assembly.

Experience the Grades

(Adults only)

The Grades and Early Childhood Departments will host an Experience the Grades morning at our school. Parents will have an opportunity to experience the grades curriculum through hands-on mini-lessons from movement activities and blackboard work, you will be a 1st grade student and work your way up through the upper-grade levels! This is a very special event and not to be missed.

This is a glimpse into a Waldorf grades program, and much different than a “school tour.” Rather, it is a sampling of the unique aspects of the 1st – 8th grade curriculum delivery of a Waldorf school.

Reservations are required by Feb. 26, 2020.

RSVP with Amy Kopald, 3rd/4th Grade Teacher.

Advent Spiral | Grades 2-8

Families in our Pre-K & Kindergarten programs and Grades 1-8 program are invited to join us in celebrating the festival of Advent by attending our Spiral. Walking the spiral is symbolic of our journey as humans during the Solstice Season, the darkest time of the year. We walk in outer darkness and journey inward to discover the light that lives in our deepest parts.  We then carry that light back out into the world, each seemingly small light-collecting into a mighty glow.
