Spring Break – School Closed

March 16 - March 27

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, and as a precautionary measure to help protect the health of our school community, Nevada Sage Waldorf School will be closed for the next two weeks from March 16-27.  We have decided to swap our Spring Break (April 9-17) with these school closure dates for the next two weeks.  Again, Spring Break will be held during the next two weeks, not on April 9-17.

Board of Trustees Meeting

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the fiscal and legal oversight of the school. They address policies and come to a consensus on matters that affect the budget, such as tuition and salaries, and those that have legal implications. Board members contribute a considerable amount of time, energy, resources, and expertise to support and guide the school. Postponed – Terra Nova 2 Standardized Testing for Grades 6-8

The Faculty is working on a new schedule for testing. Parents will be notified by their teacher on the new dates. The faculty will be conducting grade-specific Terra Nova 2 standardized tests to students in grades 6, 7, and 8 on March 30 to April 1 during Main Lesson. This year, we are administering a subset of the complete battery of tests. These are timed tests taken with paper and pencil. HOMEMADE BAKED GOODS – BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! The 7th/8th grade students will be selling homemade breads, cookies, cupcakes, and other baked goods on April 1st at pick up. All proceeds will help fund their 9-day backpacking expedition to the Lost Coast in Northern California this May with Kroka Expeditions.  The class is striving to raise about $15,000 to cover the costs for this challenging and enriching journey into the wilderness.
