About the event
The Winter Spiral, also known as the Advent Spiral, is a unique festival in our yearly calendar. We sit in silence in the Great Room, waiting quietly as a candle is lit in the center of a spiral make of evergreen boughs—a symbol of life in the midst of the dead of winter. Then, as quiet music plays, each child takes a candle into the center of the spiral, lights it, and places it along the path. The lit candles brighten the way for those who follow. Each child walks alone, or with their parent, at his or her own pace and in his or her own way.
This celebration honors quiet confidence are we carry light in the darkness and share the light with others. You are invited to attend this festival not only to see your own children, but to witness how they move within the community of…
