ANCIENT GREEK PENTATHLON GAMES

In ancient times people set out from distant cities a month in advance to gather under the July sun at a site on Olympus. A festive atmosphere surrounded the games among the tented city that formed. Over forty-thousand spectators gathered to watch the day-long events lasting over five days. There were races on foot as well as with horse-drawn chariots. The athletes wrestled, boxed and threw the javelin and discus, and sprinted.

This event is limited to NSWS 4th-8th grade families only.
