Nathanael Kavenik

Nathanael Kavenik

2nd/3rd Grade

Nathanael Kavenik is currently serving the Nevada Sage Waldorf School community as a class teacher. Mr. Kavenik has previously worked in the realms of theatre and academia, serving as a lead actor on the professional stages of California and Japan, and as a research candidate for multiple congressional research programs.

With a background in literature, anthropology, cultural studies, foreign language, performance, and a degree from a top research institution, Mr. Kavenik brings levity, focus, and personality to his teaching pedagogy. He is a Gilman Scholar, a graduate of the University of California undergraduate research initiative, and a recipient of multiple teaching scholarships for outstanding career promise. Mr. Kavenik’s research centered on liminality, poetry, and embedded teaching techniques in puppetry.

His previous teaching experience includes: Years of K-12 educational non profit instruction, college level writing instruction and teaching assistance, translation assistance, and theatre camps and classes with local 1st through 4th grade children in rural Japan. He is honored to serve as a class teacher with Nevada Sage Waldorf School.
