A passion for arts integration and holistic education is what led Mrs. Wilhite to teach at Nevada Sage Waldorf School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of California at Davis, (1997), and a Masters of Science in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Aston University in Birmingham, England (2015).
Mrs. Wilhite comes with 16 years of diverse teaching experience. She taught bilingual immersion pre-k and elementary grades at a private international school in Turkey for over a decade. After returning to the US, she taught in public middle school and at the college level. She is interested in educational research, social justice, literacy, cultural diversity, and creating a more peaceful world.
Mrs. Wilhite grew up in Northern California, where she spent her childhood exploring wildflower meadows, tidepools, beaches, forests and mountains. She enjoys skiing, cycling, camping, painting and gardening. She found Nevada Sage Waldorf School while looking for a gentle and nurturing nursery school for her son.
